Desert Adobe with Cactus Garden, Fiber Art Sculpture
This miniature desert house sculpture is a labor of love crafted delicately by hand. It is inspired by the beautiful homes of the American Southwest, and the unique flora that surround them. It is a reminder to live at one with nature, and is made entirely from leftover and upcycled bits of fabric and wool felt.
A tan adobe style home sits on a piece of sandy yellow felt. It has a turquoise door and windows, and pebbled path leading from the front door. A mesquite tree casts shade over the house, and a walled garden of cacti and agave decorate the front yard. Several stones and cactus with hand stitched spines surround the home, nestling it naturally into the desert landscape.
The sculpture is about 3.5" tall, and the base is 6.75" at the widest part.
It is a one of a kind piece - imagined, sketched, cut and sewn entirely by me with lots of love & attention to detail.
